My Project

     For my project, I will be learning how play the acoustic guitar. My goal is to be able to play one worship song, one easy pop song, and one hard pop song.

 

Why I Chose This Project

     I love listening to acoustic pop songs, especially Ed Sheeran and it would be great if I could play them myself. I also admire people who can play guitar well. Lastly, I had a hard time trying to learn guitar on my own and would like to use this project as motivation.

 

Current Skill Level

     I’m a complete beginner. I don’t even know how to grab a guitar. I’ve never played any musical instruments so I don’t have sense of music.

 

My Sources

     My guitar tutor is going to be my mentor as well as the main source of learning. He will teach me to play guitar and give advice on my progress. I’ll use YOUTUBE guitar tutorial videos as reference

The Process

     For the first few weeks, I’ll learn and master guitar chords. Then, I’ll learn three songs. (Learning speed might differ depending on my practice, so I could change my plan accordingly)

   

Success?

     Whenever I get to master the three songs I chose, I’ll consider as a success. If I accomplish my goal too early, I’ll add some more songs to learn.
